A Baby Aligator

I am moved to capture what is invisible to the naked eye, as well as what is visible but often overlooked. My love of close-up work enables this type of exploration. Nice photos can be taken in seemingly dull places. That's the advantage of closing in on a subject; the beauty can be isolated. The more commonplace my subject, the more fascinated I become and the more alive I feel. Nature reminds me that mystery is continuous, beyond what we notice or understand. The ordinary is extraordinary. When I am capturing what I call nature's simple miracles, I am really bowing to Mother Earth.
